When you first start playing a character, you start with 200 gold pieces stored in the bank; here it is unusable, but it is safe from harm. If you need to use some of your gold, you can travel to any bank and withdraw what you need; but remember that if you die, you drop the gold that you are carrying. A similar principle follows items; when you first start, you have no items, weapons or clothing, and any that you store in a vault are unusable, but safe. Any items you are carrying risk being dropped if you die; however, any items you have equipped are safe and will never be dropped. At times, you need to go beyond killing monsters to find stuff. You might have to resort to reading notes and concealed messages with /read, or looking around the room even more thoroughly with /examine. In some rare scenarios, you have to interact with the scenery with commands that are not used elsewhere, such as /push'ing or /pull'ing. Remember that all such commands always start with a forward slash ( / ).
